About Me
Hello. my name is Gemma Chandler, I am a Registered Midwife (RM) and IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I have over 15 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and early relationship building. Since qualifying as a midwife in 2009, I have worked across a wide range of NHS roles – from working on wards, community, birth centre, delivery suite to case-loading high risk women, research and an Infant Feeding Lead at a diverse London trust – providing compassionate, evidence-based care, I have a wide range of experience in supporting families to meet their feeding goals and support transition into parenthood. I currently provide lactation and bereavement support through a national charity. I have previously co-organised a free peer support group for local families in West Hertfordshire and surround areas. My approach is inclusive and evidence-based, focused on providing families with the support and information they need to make informed decisions that feel right for them.
You will receive non judgemental and gentle support which is individualised and tailored to your needs.

Breastfeeding support home visit – up to 90 mins £150 – full feeding assessment & feeding plan. This will include a week of message support to follow up (Available around working commitments and between 8am-8pm) (if within a 15-20minute drive – if I can visit over this distance I will add 50p per mile and £25 per hour of driving time)
Follow-up breastfeeding support home visit – up to 60 mins £100 (if within a 15-20minute drive – if I can visit over this distance I will add 50p per mile and £25 per hour of driving time)
Videocall breastfeeding support – up to 60 mins £90
Follow up call or call if face-to-face call isn’t needed – up to 30 mins £50
Breastfeeding Debrief videocall session – up to 60 mins £100, to discuss your previous experience of feeding and we can talk through your plans for your next baby.
Antenatal planning – up to 60 mins £100 Debrief on previous experience if necessary, discuss current situation and feeding planning.
Bereavement lactation support – £100 – 60 mins – Tailored to your needs – contact me to discuss.
PAY IT FORWARD – would you like to support a bereaved mother or a mother who wouldn’t overwise be able to access an independent IBCLC – PAYPAL – growinggems8@gmail.com – this is not a charitable donation – I will use the money to support a bereaved mother or if someone has financial hardship .
IBCLC in your pocket – Whatsapp feeding support (not videocall) for 2 weeks, videos of baby feeding can be sent, I will respond within 24 hours, I will not respond between 8pm-8am – £50
Baby Massage (baby should be between 2weeks-6months or pre crawling) – £450 – Group session in your home (or at an extra cost if hall hire is needed) – 4 week course (1.5hours per session). Ask if you would like 1-to-1 sessions.
